The man’s ‘awrah is from the
navel to the knees, so what is the ruling on doing wudoo’ naked or wearing shorts
that do not cover the knees?
Praise be to Allaah.
His wudoo’ is valid, because uncovering the ‘awrah or wearing
shorts does not invalidate his wudoo’, but it is haraam for him to uncover his
‘awrah in front of anyone except his wife or concubine (a slave woman who belongs to
him and with whom he is permitted to have intercourse).
