What is the ruling on showing educational films about the rituals of Hajj in the mosque or Islamic centre for people who want to go for Hajj?

Praise be to Allaah. 

We
put this question to Shaykh ‘Abd-Allaah ibn Jibreen (may Allaah preserve
him) who replied as follows:

 This
action is obviously beneficial in terms of sharee’ah, and there is a
need to use pictures to teach them, because descriptions alone may not be
sufficient. Pictures in films are not lasting, so they do not come under
the rulings that forbid taking pictures. And Allaah knows best.
